The Food A Baby Is Built On Matters.
What Nourish is
The nutrients a woman eats in pregnancy lay the foundations of her baby’s brain, nervous system, eyesight, gut health and long-term resilience. Research continues to show that nourishment in utero influences a child’s lifelong health in profound ways — and yet most pregnancy nutrition advice still centres almost entirely around what not to eat.
I believe women deserve far more than that.
Nourish was created to offer grounded, evidence-based, deeply nourishing guidance that feels practical, abundant and genuinely supportive.
Nourish is a two-hour session designed to cut through the overwhelm and make eating well in pregnancy and postpartum feel simple, realistic and deeply nourishing.
There is no fear-based advice here. No endless conflicting information pulled from different corners of the internet. Just a whole-foods approach informed by both modern research and traditional wisdom.
The session draws on the work of respected practitioners and researchers including Lily Nichols, Jessie Inchauspé and Weston A. Price, alongside my own experience as both an endorsed midwife and certified GAPS practitioner.
Together we explore:
-
the nutrients that support your baby’s brain and nervous system
-
traditional postpartum nourishment practices
-
blood sugar balance and mineral-rich foods
-
pregnancy and postpartum meal foundations
-
practical ways to nourish yourself well in modern life
Pregnancy and postpartum share the same roots — but different needs.
Pregnancy is a season of building.
Postpartum is a season of replenishment.
Both require deeply nourishing, nutrient-dense foods — but the body’s needs shift, and so too does how we nourish.
During the session we explore how to support:
-
growing a baby during pregnancy
-
recovery after birth
-
milk production and breastfeeding
-
nervous system restoration
-
deep postpartum replenishment
This is nourishment designed to support both mother and baby across the whole journey.
Beyond fear-based food advice.
We also talk honestly — and calmly — about the foods women are often told to avoid during pregnancy.
Raw fish. Soft eggs. Unpasteurised cheese.
Rather than blanket rules or anxiety-driven advice, we look at the actual evidence, the real level of risk, and the nutritional value these foods may also offer.
The goal is not to tell you what to do.
The goal is to help you make informed decisions that feel right for your own body, pregnancy and values.
